DMCA & Copyright
Last updated: 3 October 2026
We take copyright seriously. Because Dex Manhwa hosts no media files and only references external URLs, most rights holders never need to contact us — the correct fix is at the source provider. That said, we honour valid takedown notices without hesitation.
How content is served
Our servers store only text: series metadata, chapter numbers, and image URLs. No cover or chapter image is stored on Dex Manhwa infrastructure. Every image is requested by your browser directly from a third-party CDN such as MangaDex or the publisher's own host.
As a result, the fastest and most complete remedy for a rights holder is to file a takedown with the provider actually serving the file.
Submitting a notice
If you believe material reachable through this site infringes your copyright, send a notice through our Report Issue page selecting "Copyright / DMCA", or email us directly at email us. Please include all of the following, as required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3):
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail (series title and chapter URL) for us to locate it.
- Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and — under penalty of perjury — that you are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
What happens next
We review every notice. When a notice is valid, we remove the relevant reference promptly and notify the submitter. When it is incomplete or does not identify material on our service, we explain why and take no action.
Counter-notices
If content you control was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to the same address. It must include your signature, identification of the removed material and its former location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal resulted from mistake or misidentification, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate federal court.
If we receive a valid counter-notice we may restore the removed material after 10 business days unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed an action seeking a court order.
Repeat infringers
In accordance with DMCA policy, we terminate access for repeat infringers.
